Facebook to pay tax to Korea on local ad revenue

Facebook has decided to start paying tax to South Korea on advertising revenue earned locally. The decision follows recent accusations that US-based companies such as Apple, Google and Cisco have been slashing their tax bills by rerouting their profits to low-tax countries, The Koreas Times reports. Facebook Korea plans to complete rolling out the new local selling structure by early 2019.
