US regulators are investigating the proposed acquisition of UK technology company Arm by chipmaker Nvidia on competition grounds, reports The Telegraph.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has asked Nvidia to provide documents related to the acquisition ahead of an investigation that could last for months. It has also sent a second request to Nvidia, a notice ordering the company to provide detailed material for the basis of a competition investigation. Nvidia has not yet applied for regulatory clearance outside of the US, with this expected in 2021.
