Liberty LatAm picks Ericsson as sole mobile core network vendor

Monday 29 June 2020 | 09:07 CET | News
Ericsson announced a contract to carry out a major upgrade of Liberty Latin America's mobile core network in the Caribbean and Latin America. The regional communications services giant has chosen Ericsson as its sole mobile core network vendor in what is described as a major network modernisation drive. Under the terms of the three-year deal, Ericsson will deploy a virtualised and cloud-based mobile core network system to serve the regional Liberty Latin America market in a project that's expected to get underway in the second half of 2020.
