Mediapro unveils prices for Telefoot OTT offering, confirms Netflix bundle

Mediapro is set to open subscriptions to its forthcoming French pay-TV channel on 17 August, giving customers access to most of the Ligue 1 football games, as well as the 2020/2021 season of UEFA’s Champions League and Europa League. The media group has partnered with Netflix on a combined OTT content package, confirming earlier press reports. Priced at EUR 29.90/month, this new offering will bundle the Telefoot channel with Netflix's mid-tier Standard plan (worth EUR 11.99/month), subject to a 1-year commitment.

Without Netflix, Telefoot will cost EUR 25.90/month with a 1-year commitment. A discount is available to customers paying in advance for the first 12 months. This annual subscription is priced EUR 269.90 (EUR 22.49/month), with the cost rising to EUR 29.90/month with no minimum contract period. Like the Netflix bundle, these three price points provide access to Telefoot content in 4K quality and on all screens.

Without Netflix and UEFA’s tournaments, Telefoot will offer a reduced price tier for digital subscriptions on smartphone/tablet, charged EUR 14.90/month with no minimum commitment.

The channel will go live on 17 August and will air the first Ligue 1 match of the new season on 21 August. So far Mediapro has reached a distribution agreement with Altice France subsidiary SFR. According to L’Equipe, the company will announce a similar deal with another distribution partner in the coming days. Availability via games consoles is also reportedly going to be confirmed soon.
