Microsoft said more than 50,000 organizations are already using the service, including Alaska Airlines, ConocoPhillips, Deloitte, Expedia, Sage, Trek Bicycle and Three UK. The early users have helped optimise the service since its initial launch.
Integrated with Office applications, Microsoft teams allows co-workers to conduct one-to-one and group conversations and collaborate on documents and projects from single hub with a range of controls for access and privacy. Microsoft Teams offers the ability to customize work spaces with tabs, connectors and bots from third-party partners as well as Microsoft tools like Microsoft Planner and Visual Studio Team Services. More than 150 integrations are available or coming soon, with companies like SAP, Trello, Hipmunk, Growbot and ModuleQ building on the platform.
The service is delivered over Microsoft's secure cloud platform, the same as Office 365.
