
Netflix goes live in Latin America, Caribbean

Online movie rental company Netflix has arrived to Latin America and the Caribbean. The company provides instant and unlimited movies and TV shows streamed from Netflix to computers, game consoles and other internet connected devices. Netflix is currently available in Brazil and will be launched in 43 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean by 12 September. Brazilians can immediately begin a free, one-month trial by accessing the Netflix webpage. Brazilian users will have access to movies and TV shows anytime and anywhere via PC, Mac, PS2, PS3 and Wii for a monthly subscription price of BRL 14.99. On 7 September, the Spanish-language version of the Netflix streaming service will become available in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. The monthly subscription for unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows in Argentina will be ARS 39, while in Uruguay and Paraguay the service will be available for USD 7.99 per month. On 8 September, Netflix will become available in Chile at a monthly fee of CLP 3,790, and in Bolivia at USD 7.99 per month. On 9 September, Netflix will start unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows via the internet in the Andean region. In Colombia, the monthly subscription price will reach CLP 14,000, while in Venezuela, Peru and Ecuador users will be charged USD 7.99 per month. Finally, on 12 September, Netflix will go live in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. In Mexico, the monthly subscription price for unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows over the internet will be MXN 99, while in the Central America and the Caribbean the price will be USD 7.99 per month. In the Caribbean region, Netflix will be available in English and Spanish.
