Netflix goes live in Mexico, Central America, Caribbean
Online movie rental company Netflix has arrived in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Customers in the region will be able to access the service for a monthly price of MXN 99 in Mexico and USD 7.99 in Central America and the Caribbean. Netflix offers a one-month free trial for users in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Netflix offers movies and TV shows that can be watched instantly, anytime and anywhere, via computer, Sony PS3, Nintendo Wii and certain models of the Samsung Smart TV. Coming soon in Mexico will be Microsoft Xbox. Netflix members in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean can choose from thousands of movies and TV episodes, including feature films, popular TV series and telenovelas, independent cinema, documentaries and children's programming in the "Just for Kids" section. Choices are instantly streamed to TVs and computers via a broadband internet connection. Netflix has also signed regional license agreements with motion picture and television studios, including Walt Disney Studios, Paramount Studios, Sony Pictures Television, NBCUniversal International Television, CBS Television, MGM, Lionsgate, Summit, Relativity, BBC Worldwide, TV Bandeirantes, Televisa, Telemundo, TV Azteca, TV Globo, Caracol, Telefe and RCTV. Netflix expects to double the number of hours of content available on the site by year-end.
