Polish consumer regulator investigates Facebook data policy
Polish competition and consumer regulator Uokik has become the latest to start an investigation into Facebook's practices for collecting and sharing user data. The regulator said it examined the policy of Facebook Ireland, the social network's European holding company, and found a number of concerns about the vague terms describing how Facebook uses the data collected from its users and makes it available to third parties.

Uokik said there was a "broad and indefinite" list of the information collected, which did not make clear which information was collected, for how long it was kept or with which Facebook companies it would be shared. Data protection and consumer regulators in other European countries are also investigating Facebook's practices, including in Germany, Italy, Belgium and France, most recently focusing on its plan to access data from WhatsApp.
