Qualcomm unveils first dedicated XR platform

Qualcomm Technologie debuted what it calls the world's first dedicated Extended Reality (XR) platform during a launch event leading up to the Augmented World Expo. The Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 offers mainstream users high-quality XR experiences while enabling OEMs to develop mainstream devices, the chipmaker said. The XR1 platform also has special optimisations for augmented reality experiences with artificial intelligence functionalities.
