RIM to cut another 2,000 jobs - report

Research In Motion is preparing another round of restructuring, which will see the BlackBerry maker cut around 2,000 jobs worldwide, the Globe and Mail reports. One person familiar with the company's plans said the layoffs may cut even deeper than that. RIM has about 16,500 employees worldwide, down already from a peak a few years ago of 20,000. The next round is layoffs is said to be planned for around 01 June, a day before RIM's first quarter ends on 02 June, but some expect the announcement even earlier.
