Samsung to invest USD 7 bln in China chip plant
South Korea's Samsung Electronics plans to invest USD 7 billion in China over the next three years to expand the production of NAND flash memory products. The investment will be made by Samsung Electronics's Chinese subsidiary, Samsung China Semiconductor, located in Xian, Yonhap news agency reports, citing a company statement.

"The investment is aimed at meeting rising demand for NAND flash products in the mid-to-long term", Samsung said.
