SES appoints new CEO, CFO
SES has appointed Steve Collar its new group CEO and Andrew Browne its new CFO, both from 5 April. Collar is currently CEO of SES Networks. Browne was until recently CFO at O3b Networks and at SES. They will over the coming weeks work with current CEO and CFO Karim Michel Sabbagh and Padraig McCarthy, to ensure a smooth handover. 

The company said Sabbagh will be stepping down from the next SES AGM on 5 April, in order to spend time with his family and to pursue new interests. McCarthy informed the board of its intention to retire in the course of this year. His departure date was then set also for April. All other members of the executive board will remain in place. These include Ferdinand Kayser (CEO SES Video), Christophe De Hauwer (chief strategy and development officer), Martin Halliwell (CTO), Evie Roos (chief human resources officer) and John Purvis (chief legal officer). 

A successor to Steve Collar as CEO of SES Networks will be appointed in due course.

SES reports stable underlying revenues in Q1

Satellite operator SES said that its first quarter results showed a stable underlying revenue performance when excluding periodic revenues, with an 8.5 percent year-on-year growth at SES Network offsetting a 3.6 percent fall at SES Video. SES has appointed John-Paul Hemingway the new CEO of SES Networks with effect from 5 April. Hemingway succeeds Steve Collar, who will then officially take up his new position as president & CEO of SES.

DarkMatter appoints Sabbagh as new CEO

UAE-based cyber-security firm DarkMatter has appointed Karim Sabbagh as its new chief executive, as it aims to increase headcount by around 40 percent in 2018. Sabbagh recently served as CEO of SES and will replace DarkMatter's founder Faisal Al Bannai as CEO from April. Prior to joining SES, Sabbagh was a senior partner with management consultants Booz & Co, and was a global practice leader for its communications, media & technology segment.

SES ziet omzet en winst dalen in Q4

Satelliet-provider SES meldt een lagere omzet en winst over het vierde kwartaal van vorig jaar als gevolg van uitdagende marktomstandigheden. Om die reden verlaagt het bedrijf zijn dividend met 40 procent naar 0,80 euro. In Q4 2017 kwam de omzet uit op 507,8 miljoen euro. Een jaar eerder kwam de omzet nog uit op 578,8 miljoen euro. SES rebases div lower and continues restructuring after lower Q4

Satellite operator SES reported lower revenues and profit for the fourth quarter, hit by a market remained challenging in 2017, compounded by some fleet health issues. TVGE International, Equatorial Guinea's governmental channel, is partnering with SES and MX1 to deliver its content worldwide on both linear and non-linear platforms. Nieuwe CEO, CFO voor SES

SES heeft aangekondigd dat Steve Collar zijn nieuwe Group CEO zal worden. Tegelijkertijd treedt Andrew Browne aan als nieuwe CFO. Collar is momenteel CEO van SES Networks en Browne was voor zijn komst naar SES CFO bij O3b Networks. De komende weken zullen beiden worden ingewerkt door de huidige CEO en CFO, respectievelijk Karim Michel Sabbagh en Padrag McCarthy.
