
The company said Sabbagh will be stepping down from the next SES AGM on 5 April, in order to spend time with his family and to pursue new interests. McCarthy informed the board of its intention to retire in the course of this year. His departure date was then set also for April. All other members of the executive board will remain in place. These include Ferdinand Kayser (CEO SES Video), Christophe De Hauwer (chief strategy and development officer), Martin Halliwell (CTO), Evie Roos (chief human resources officer) and John Purvis (chief legal officer).
A successor to Steve Collar as CEO of SES Networks will be appointed in due course.
