TDC CEO to step down by year-end as new owners plan strategy to split up Danish ops

Danish operator TDC said that group CEO and president Pernille Erenbjerg has announced her resignation no later than 31 December 2018. She will support TDC's new owners, a consortium of pension funds and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, until her replacement has been appointed. TDC added that Mike Parton will become chairman of the board of directors, following the EGM on the previous day.

Erenbjerg said that as TDC's new owners will embark on a new strategy, which involves splitting the Danish company into separate units, she considers this the right time to step down and start the process of passing on the baton to someone else. Parton thanked Erenbjerg for her stewardship of the company. Parton added that TDC will continue to invest and focus on retail and content development, as well as fibre deployment throughout Denmark.

Nordic Entertainment Group said its nomination committee is proposing to the AGM on 19 May 2020 the election of former TDC CEO Pernille Erenbjerg as a new director of the board. She left the Danish operator in 2018 after it was acquired by the DK Consortium, which decided to split TDC into separate units.

TDC names services division Nuuday, buys IT security firm Secu

TDC Group has announced that it is calling its service division Nuuday, adding that this should be pronounced as the English words "new day". It also said it has acquired IT security firm Secu. Following TDC's takeover last summer by a consortium of pension funds and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, it said that it would split into a network infrastructure company and a services arm, and later went on to sell its Norwegian operations.

TDC Q4 revenue falls 1.2%, EBITDA down 5.3%, sees lower FY profit amid network and services split

Danish operator TDC reported a 3.3 percent drop in in full-year EBITDA and gave guidance of a slight decline in FY 2019, as it expects higher expenditure as it splits into an infrastructure and a services entity. In the fourth quarter of 2018, revenue fell 1.2 percent and EBITDA dropped 5.3 percent, as it gained consumer broadband and mobile customers as well as business mobile RGUs.

Tele2 CEO Kirkby to become TDC CEO in December

TDC said it is appointing Allison Kirkby as CEO from December 2018. She will be moving to the Danish operator from her current role as president and group CEO at Tele2. Kirkby replaces Pernille Erenbjerg, who announced her resignation in May when the acquisition of TDC by the DK Consortium was announced.

TDC reports flat Q2 Danish results; TV revenue down, broadband up in Norway

Danish operator TDC, which delisted its shares in June after the buy-out by the DKT consortium of pension funds and a Macquarie fund, held revenue steady in the second quarter of 2018 and claimed a "turnaround" in EBITDA. These are its first quarterly results since the buy-out and the reorganisation of its domestic operations. It also announced the sale of Get and TDC Norway after the end of the quarter.

Telia Company said it has agreed to buy Get TDC Norway from Danish operator TDC at an enterprise value of NOK 21 billion on a cash and debt-free basis, which will result in a comprehensive supplier and a challenger in the market. The announcement comes shortly after TDC Group was taken over by a consortium of pension funds and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and decided to split up its Danish operations into network and services arms.

TDC splits Danish ops into services and infrastructure, business division head retires

Denmark's TDC Group, which was recently taken over by a consortium of pension funds and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, said that it will split its Danish operations into a network company and a services company. There will be no changes at Get or TDC Norway. CEO Pernille Erenbjerg said that in agreement with its new owners, it will pursue investments in Danish infrastructure and digitisation, extending the fibre network and establishing 5G.

TDC names Sony Ericsson ex-CEO Nordberg as board chairman from August

Danish operator TDC has announced the appointment of Bert Nordberg as chairman from 01 August. TDC was recently taken over by a consortium of pensions companies PFA Pension & Forsikringsselskab, PKA and ATP and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets. Nordberg has served as chairman of Vestas since 2012 and is non-executive director of the boards of Electrolux, Saab, Skandinaviska Cellulosa (SCA) and Essity. Between 2009 and 2012, he was president and CEO of Sony Ericsson.

TDC agrees new financing

Danish operator TDC said that it entered into new senior secured financing. The new financing comprises a Term Loan B (TLB) of EUR 2.56 billion equivalent, another uncommitted TLB of EUR 1.40 billion equivalent, an additional TLB backstop facility of EUR 1.01 billion, and a revolving credit facility of EUR 500 million.

Fitch cuts TDC senior unsecured debt rating to B+ from BB-

Danish operator TDC said that the ratings agency Fitch has cut its rating for TDC's senior unsecured debt rating to B+ from BB-. The agency added that TDC's long-term issuer default rating is unchanged at B+ with a stable outlook. This follows the acquisition of 91 percent of TDC by DKT Holding, a consortium comprising Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) and the Danish pension funds PFA, PKA, and ATP.  DKT intends to execute its rights to squeeze out the remaining 9 percent or so of TDC's share

TDC formally applies to de-list shares from Nasdaq Copenhagen

TDC said that it has formally applied to have its shares delisted from Nasdaq Copenhagen, as new owner DK Telekommunikation has announced its decision to exercise its right complete a compulsory acquisition of the TDC shares still in the hands of minority shareholders. The last day of trading is expected to be 04 June 2018, which is the last day that banks in Denmark are open during the four-week squeeze-out period ending on  05 June at 23.59 CET.

Fitch, S&P take differing view of TDC term loan B recovery rate; Moody's assigns Ba3

Fitch Ratings said it has assigned a BB+ expected rating to TDC's EUR 3.9 billion term loan B, implying a three-notch uplift to the Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of B+. The final rating is contingent upon the receipt of final documentation conforming materially to the preliminary documentation.
