Tele2 to restart mobile services in Austria
Tele2 Austria announced it will start providing mobile services in the second half of 2015. This follows the recent addition of TV services to its portfolio. Tele2 previously operated as a MVNO in Austria, but sold its customer base to Telekom Austria in 2008. Tele2 said the new mobile service will be centred on the customer, offering convenience and simplicity. Its re-entry on the Austrian mobile market comes as a number of new MVNOs are launching in the country, taking advantage of improved wholesale access terms and a push by the regulator for increased competition.

Tele2 Austria ended Q2 2014 with a total of 270,000 customers, down from 300,000 at end-June.
