Telefonica offers EU concessions for E-Plus deal approval
Telefonica has offered EU anti-trust officials concessions as it tries to win approval for its proposed takeover of KPN's German unit E-Plus. The EC's Competition department said the concessions were submitted 10 April, extending its investigation of the proposed merger by 10 days. As a result, it should rule on the EUR 8.6 billion deal by 23 June. Telefonica Deutschland spokesman Albert Fetsch told Reuters that the company is still confident of winning merger clearance in Q2.

Telefonica Deutschland reported revenue of EUR 5.522 billion for 2014. The figure includes E-Plus, acquired from KPN, from 01 October 2014. On a pro forma combined basis for the full year, 2014 revenues would have been EUR 7.793 billion. EC suspends investigation of E-Plus takeover

The European Commission has halted its investigation of Telefonica's proposed takeover of German operator E-Plus. Telefonica amends concessions for E-Plus takeover

Telefonica Deutschland has made changes to the concessions being offered to the EU to secure anti-trust approval for its takeover of German mobile network E-Plus, reports the Wall Street Journal. Spokesperson Albert Fetsch said the changes were made in response to the response of rival operators to the first set of concessions, but declined to provide details. Telefonica has agreed to buy E-Plus from Dutch operator KPN for EUR 8.6 billion.

Telefonica offers spectrum for new German operator - report

Telefonica has offered to sell spectrum and provide roaming to a new operator on the German market in order to secure regulatory approval for its proposed takeover of E-Plus.
