Virgin America to offer Netflix streaming on flights

Virgin America has started offering video streaming services from Netflix on its flights thanks to its partnership with internet provider ViaSat, writes online publication ItproUK. Netflix's entire catalogue can be seen by Netflix users thanks to complementary Wi-Fi internet services offered on new Airbus A320 flights.

Netflix acquires ABQ Studios, to open New Mexico production hub

Netflix announced that it's acquiring ABQ Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as part of a plan to bring USD 1 billion in production to the state over the next ten years and create up to 1,000 production jobs a year. ABQ Studios, with 8 sound stages and over 170,000 square feet of space, has been used to film shows including The Avengers, Logan, Better Call Saul, The Lone Ranger and Sicario.

ViaSat to provide in-flight connectivity for La Compagnie airline

La Compagnie, a boutique airline operating on the New York-Paris route, has selected Viasat to equip two new business-class aircrafts with high-speed Wi-Fi capabilities. Deployment of the new in-flight service is scheduled for April 2019, providing passengers the option to access free unlimited Wi-Fi, said the company.
