Vivo launches V15Pro smartphone with pop-up 32MP front camera

Vivo has unveiled its new V15Pro smartphone with a pop-up front camera.

The smartphone comes with a 6.39-inch Super Amoled screen with 19.5:9 display. With the earpiece, light and proximity sensors all concealed from view, the side and top bezels have been reduced to just 1.75mm and 2.22mm respectively, resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of 91.64 percent.

The screen design means the 32MP front camera is housed in the top right of the device and pops up for photos with a click. Vivo has also put the fingerprint sensor in the bottom half of the display, in order to save space for the screen.

The device also comes with three rear cameras, with a 48 Million quad pixel sensor, 8MP AI wide-angle camera and a 5MP depth camera for bokeh effects. Vivo said it upgraded the AI algorithms and photography features, from AI Body Shaping to AI Portrait Lighting. The 'smart button' on the side of the device activates the Google Assistant with one click and the Jovi Image Recognizer with two clicks.

The V15Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675AIE octa-core processor and comes with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and a 3,700 mAh battery with fast charging. It will be available in a choice of Topaz Blue or Ruby Red, with a ripple design on the back to reflect light patterns.

The phone is priced at INR 32,990, with a discounted price of INR 28,990 during pre-booking. Vivo said the phone will start shipping 04 March.
