
Vodafone Group hosted a #BlackLivesMatter company-wide webinar with Vodafone employees worldwide on 08 June.
The aim of the exercise was to listen to the stories of black Vodafone employees, learn from their experiences, and identify any changes needed for racial diversity progress. Vodafone Group CEO Nick Read said that diversity and inclusion are at the heart of Vodafone's purpose as a company, and that a diverse and inclusive society is a stronger one.
Read said that Vodafone supported the #BlackLivesMatter movement and had a zero-tolerance approach to racism and racial discrimination within the company. He cited the company's progress in gender diversity, in LBGT+, and in supporting victims of domestic violence and abuse.
