Deutsche Telekom close to signing fibre joint venture investment deal with Australia's IFM - report

Deutsche Telekom is close to establishing a joint venture with Australian investor IFM to supply fibre network connectivity to 4 million households in Germany, Manager Magazin reports, citing sources. The company would call the JV Glasfaser Plus, the report added. Glasfaser Plus will invest EUR 6 billion in the next few years.

The report said Telekom’s supervisory board will discuss the matter this week. IFM was established by Australian pension funds and manages assets of over EUR 110 billion. It focuses on investments in infrastructure projects promising stable returns.
