This will be the first of its phones with Carl Zeiss optics, after HMD renewed a licensing agreement with the camera components specialist. The Nokia 8 is rumored to include a dual-camera system with 13-megapixel sensors, as well as a 5.3-inch display (2560 x 1440), Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and dual-SIM models, the report said. Pictures showed a copper gold colour phone, and HMD is also expected to offer blue and silver models.
HMD Global debuted its first three smartphones under the Nokia brand at Mobile World Congress in February. The Nokia 3, 5 and 6 target the entry-level and mid-range markets, while the new device is expected to compete with high-end models from Samsung and Huawei.
