
The latest investments included the 'freemium' mobile provider FreedomPop, G.fast chip developer Sckipio amd LISNR, developer of the Smart Tones protocol for sending data over audio. Other investments included UK-based what3words, provider of a location search and addressing platform; human body data specialist Body Labs; Microprogram Information, a Taiwanese IoT products provider for the transport and transactions sectors; and Perfant Technology, a Chinese developer of a panoramic camera and imaging technologies for artificial intelligence, 3-D reconstruction and virtual reality.
Intel also invested in the wireless charging network Chargifi, laser systems developer KMLabs, advanced batteries developer Prieto Battery, and the early stage company Parallel Machines, which is focused on providing highly optimized environments for advancing predictive analytics and machine learning.
