Motorola has updated its G5 smartphone range with the new Moto G5s and G5s Plus. They will launch in selected markets worldwide this month for respectively EUR 249 and EUR 299 and reach the US in the autumn.

Updating the G5 models unveiled in February at Mobile World Congress, the new phones come with slightly more advanced features. The G5s features a 5.2-inch full HD display, high-resolution 16MP camera with phase detection autofocus, 5MP wide-angle front camera with LED flash, 1.4GHz octa-core processor, 4G and a bigger 3,000 mAh battery. With an aluminium unibody design, the phone also comes with an improved fingerprint sensor with more functions and the latest Moto Experiences like Night Display and Quick Reply.

The Moto G5S Plus adds dual 13-megapixel cameras on the back and an 8-megapixel wide-angle front camera. It comes with a bigger 5.5-inch full HD display and faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.0 GHz octa-core processor.
