NENT Group acquires rights to Italian women's football Serie A for Viaplay

Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has acquired the exclusive media rights to show Italy’s Serie A Tim Vision on its Viaplay streaming service in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and the Netherlands until the end of the 2022/2023 season. Viaplay viewers will be able to stream over 40 live games every season and follow different international stars.

Viaplay will in addition show the Supercoppa Italiana and selected matches from the women’s Coppa Italia for the coming two seasons.

NENT Group also holds rights to England’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League, Germany’s Frauen-Bundesliga and Denmark’s Gjensidige Kvindeliga, along with selected games from Spain’s Liga Iberdrola. The company will be the exclusive home of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Poland.

Viaplay appoints first executive producers for the Netherlands

Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) has appointed Kennard Bos and Martijn de Bruin as its first executive producers for Viaplay in the Netherlands. Viaplay said Bos and De Bruin will be responsible for developing local Viaplay Originals, an "important spearhead" for the service.

Viaplay announces partners, pricing for March launch in Netherlands

Viaplay, the streaming service of Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) will launch in the Netherlands on 1 March 2022, with premium live sports, Viaplay Originals, Hollywood films and series, and content for children. The single package will cost EUR 13.99 per month and become available as a direct subscription and through distribution partners such as VodafoneZiggo and KPN. The launch will take Viaplay's footprint to 11 countries, with at least five more markets to follow by the end of 2023.
