Nokia unveils entry-level Lumia 510 smartphone
Nokia announced a new entry-level Windows smartphone, called the Lumia 510. The phone features a four-inch display and runs the Windows Phone 7.5 operating system. 

It will be available in a choice of five colours starting first in China and India in November, and then expanding to other Asia-Pacific countries and South America. The recommended price, excluding taxes and subsidies, will be around USD 199. 

Other features of the phone include a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor, 5 megapixel camera, 256MB RAM, 1300 mAh battery, 4GB mass memory (no memory card slot) and 7GB free on the Microsoft SkyDrive storage. The phone also comes with the Nokia Maps, Drive and Transport apps and access to the Camera Extras app for extra digital lens functionality.

Nokia restores customer confidence with Lumia - survey

Nokia has made great strides in restoring its reputation among its customers, according to an survey by UK online pollster YouGov. Nokia reports Q4 results better than expected

Nokia said its fourth-quarter results were better than expected, thanks to strong sales of its Lumia smartphones and lower costs. The company said its main Devices & Services division is expected to report an adjusted operating margin of breakeven to 2 percent, better than its earlier forecast of minus 6 percent, plus or minus four percentage points. Indian tax officials raided a Nokia manufacturing unit in Chennai, India, reports Dow Jones Newswires. A Nokia spokesman was not able to provide any further detail on the reason behind the visit by the tax official to the plant in Chennai, adding that no reason has been spelled out by Indian tax authorities. Nokia net sales down 19% year-on-year in Q3 2012

Nokia has reported group net sales of EUR 7.2 billion or Q3 2012, down from EUR 7.5 billion in Q2 2012 and down 19 percent from EUR 8.98 billion a year earlier, with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) sales up quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year to EUR 3.5 billion. Nokia unveils new Lumia pricing, to launch in Italy mid-Nov

Nokia has announced its first carrier deals to launch the new Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 smartphones. A statement from Nokia Italy said the Windows phones will be available from mid-November with all four operators in Italy (Telecom Italia, 3 Italia, Vodafone Italia and Wind).
