Samsung pulls Galaxy Tab 7.7 from Ifa show after injunction
Samsung pulled its new 7.7-inch Galaxy Tab devices from German consumer electronics show Ifa taking in place in Berlin after a German court accepted Apple's request to ban sales and marketing of Samsung's new tablet device there. Samsung originally planned to unveil its new tablet equipped with an advanced display technology at the Ifa. Samsung spokesman James Chung said that Samsung respects the Duesseldorf court's decision made on 2 September and therefore decided not to display the Galaxy Tab 7.7.

The Duesseldorf Court of Appeals has ruled that Samsung cannot resume sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 nor the Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablets in Germany. Samsung Electronics filed a lawsuit in Australia alleging Apple's iPhone and iPad 2 tablet violate a number of patents held by Samsung. German higher regional court in Duesseldorf said Samsung Electronics has appealed a ruling from last week that bans the company from selling its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet computer in Germany. The state court in Duesseldorf upheld an injunction sought by Apple barring Samsung from selling its Galaxy 10.1 tablets in Germany, according to local media reports. Samsung to file cross-claim against Apple in Australia

Samsung will file a cross-claim against Apple in Australia this week, claiming the iPad and iPhone violate its patents, reports The Australian. Samsung planned to launch the tablet earlier this month but delayed it until 12 September following Apple's original court application. The Galaxy Tab now will not be launched at least until the outcome of a court hearing scheduled for the last week of September.
