Samsung has announced the imminent launch of the Z4 smartphone, the latest device in its low-budget Z series of handsets. The Z4 is LTE compatible and comes with 4.5-inch WVGA (480×800) screen, 1GB RAM, a quad core 1.5GHz processor, and 5MP front and rear-facing cameras. It will also be the fourth smartphone to use the company’s Tizen OS, an open-source Android alternative that powers Samsung’s wearables, TVs and IoT devices. Targeted at first-time smartphone users, the Z4 is also the first handset in the Z series to feature 2.5D curved glass for a more comfortable one-handed grip.
The Samsung Z4 will launch in India later on this month and expand to other markets later on this year. No price details were disclosed but the handset will be available in black, gold and silver depending on the market.
