Tele2 relaunches as business MVNO in Austria
Tele2 has confirmed its re-launch on the Austrian mobile market. The company is offering mobile services to the business sector, as a MVNO on the T-Mobile network. Tele2 is already active on the fixed broadband and telephony market with around 256,000 customers. The mobile launch is in line with the group's strategy of focusing on the mobile sector for growth, while the fixed business works on retaining customers and cash generation. Tele2 previously operated as a MVNO in Austria, but sold its customer base to Telekom Austria in 2008.

Tele2 has launched its MVNO for business customers, offering mobile tariffs including LTE data speeds. The tariffs can be assembled individually with different modules. Tele2 Austria's net sales in the third quarter of 2015 fell to SEK 302 million from SEK 315 million the previous year, and EBITDA amounted to SEK 61 million, down from 63 million. Tele2 Austria has announced it is preparing to launch on the mobile phone market in the second half of this year. New MVNO Avido launches in Austria

The new MVNO Avido has launched operations in Austria and is offering budget tariffs, Der Standard reports. The service uses the T-Mobile network and currently only offers postpaid contracts with a minimum duration of 24 months. The new provider is running promotions until the end of May. For EUR 19.95, there is a plan including unlimited calls and 1,000 SMS to be sent anywhere in the world, 5 GB of mobile data at up to 42 Mbps, as well as EU roaming with 100 minutes and 100 minutes for calls to the EU.
