Onze.nl's AI now listens to both sides of the call

Onze.nl's AI now listens to both sides of the call

Four months after launching as a self-described "AI-native" mobile provider, the Dutch start-up Onze.nl is expanding its call summaries and opening them to business customers. Until now, post-call summaries were based only on what the subscriber said. From today, the service also captures the other person's side of the conversation, and the feature is open to businesses of all sizes. After each call, subscribers receive a summary and a full transcript by email. Whether a doctor moves an appointment, a client asks for a quote or a contractor names a price, it ends up in the summary. Users can look up what was agreed without taking notes.

Your AI's Worth Depends on How Fast You Can Keep It Up to Date

Whether to use AI is not the question operators are working on this year – how to deliver it is. A pilot proves the idea, then meets the systems that carry traffic and revenue and runs into problems: disorganized data, test environments unlike production conditions, charging interfaces built for predictable callers and an operating model that releases on a schedule set months earlier. Any of these can hold an AI project back. But one element determines how long it takes to solve these issues.

SEPA Direct Debit fraud: prevent risk without hurting the customer experience

For a telecom or broadband operator billing across Europe, SEPA Direct Debit is the natural way to collect a monthly subscription. It is cheap, it is automated, and in markets like the Netherlands, where automatische incasso is how most recurring bills are paid, it is simply what customers expect. But compared with a straightforward bank transfer, it carries a specific exposure: the payer can recall the money after it has been collected. That single feature sits behind most of what gets called direct debit fraud.

What happens when the payment stops stalling?

Customer support has a design problem. Not in how it looks, but in how it works. Every ticket system, every phone queue, every chatbot is built around the same assumption: wait for the customer to have a problem, then try to solve it.

The margin telco still controls

Smart fiber network management delivers ROI faster and longer

There is enormous pressure on new fiber optic networks to reach profitably as early as possible and last for the long term. The large capital outlays that need to generate solid returns for decades into the future are challenging network owners to find smart ways to manage their fiber networks efficiently. A new whitepaper from Speer IT explains how network owners can take advantage of smart network management platforms to accelerate and protect ROI over the network lifetime.

The Hidden Backbone of Broadband: Why Every ISP Needs an Auto Configuration Server

A customer calls support because "the Wi-Fi is broken." The symptoms are familiar: buffering video, unstable VoIP, a smart TV that keeps dropping off the network, a work laptop stuck on a congested band. What's less obvious is how often the root cause isn't the access network at all. Instead, it's configuration drift in a gateway, firmware diversity across a mixed CPE estate, or a home setup that's "mostly fine" until peak time. Multiply this by tens of thousands of households (or millions), and support becomes a treadmill.
