Hutchison 3G Austria (3 Austria) has reached an agreement with the European Commission (EC) to publish a reference offer on its website to give MVNOs long-term access to its network. The agreement is part of talks with the EU to secure approval for its takeover of larger rival Orange Austria. It has also agreed to a MVNO deal with the first suitable buyer and has already signed an MoU with an existing market player. Earlier reports suggested this may be cable operator UPC. The terms of 3 Austria's MVNO offer are now being examined by the EU.
