Altice accelerates transformation, buys up suppliers
Altice announced plans to accelerate the transformation of its recent acquisitions and further vertically integrate the company. The announcement follows the takeover of Cablevision and creation of Altice USA to run its activities in the US.

Altice said it plans to make its "core strategic, operational and technical capabilities available to its subsidiaries in a more centralized manner to maximize the powerful impact on their operational and financial performance".  Altice's subsidiaries will benefit "even more from the know-how, methodologies, best practices, processes and unique services of the Altice management team" as the company accelerates the roll-out of the "Altice Way". This will include implementing remuneration models with Altice's subsidiaries, as is common for local subsidiaries to pay their parent company for technical support.

In addition, Altice intends to insource certain technical and customer care capabilities by taking control of Parilis (including its subsidiary ERT Group), a historical supplier of Altice in the area of network deployment, upgrade and maintenance, and Intelcia, a customer services supplier to Altice. The vertical integration of these suppliers will enhance Altice's expertise in these areas and ensure further quality of service improvements to its 50 million customers, the company said.

Altice also reiterated its plans to expand in content production and said it intends to launch both Altice Studios, to create original movies and series, and Altice Channel Factory, to create more new channels.

More details on the plans will be given at a press conference in Paris on 05 September.
