Apple expected to ship less next-gen iPhones in H2 due to covid-19, possible WeChat ban - study

Apple is expected to ship 63-68 million next-generation iPhone devices (iPhone 12 lineup) worldwide in the second quarter, 5 million less than the year before for the iPhone 11 lineup, according to the latest study from Digitimes. The researcher attributed the lower sales to factors such as the coronavirus pandemic, but added numbers could go even lower if China's WeChat app is no longer available on the App Store in China or pre-installed on new iPhone devices.
