BQ launches Ubuntu smartphone in Europe

Spanish company BQ will start marketing the first smartphone with the Ubuntu OS. This is a new version of BQ's Aquarius E4.5 smartphone, which launched earlier running Android. The Ubuntu version will be available for EUR 169.90 in a series of 'flash' online sales in Europe. Canonical, the developer of the Ubuntu OS, will announce the timing of the sales on the Ubuntu Twitter and social network accounts. Operators such as 3 Sweden, Amena in Spain, Giffgaff in the UK and Portugal Telecom are offering SIM bundles at purchase for buyers. The dual-Sim, unlocked phone comes with a 4.5-inch screen
