German spectrum bids top EUR 2 bln
The Federal Network Agency announced that Telekom Deutschland, Vodafone Germany and Telefonica Deutschland's bids have surpassed EUR 2 billion in the current spectrum auction. At the beginning of the auction on 27 May the bids were at EUR 1.28 billion. At the last frequency auction five years ago, Telekom, Vodafone, E-Plus and Telefonica bid in total EUR 4.4 billion.

Germany hands EUR 1.3 bln from spectrum auction to states

The German federal government will have to share EUR 1.33 billion of the EUR 5.1 billion raised in the recent spectrum auction with the federal states, Heise.de reports. Vodafone raised the stakes considerably for the 700 MHz band in the latest day of bidding in the German spectrum auction. The German multi spectrum auction passed EUR 3 billion in bids on 11 June year during the 106th round of bidding, according to information posted on the website of German network regulator BNA after each round. German spectrum auction to raise EUR 5 billion - report

The upcoming multi-spectrum auction in Germany is expected to raise up to EUR 5 billion, an industry insider told Focus.de. Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone and Telefonica will participate in the bidding starting 27 May. The reserve prices set by the Federal Network Agency total EUR 1.5 billion. Germany's Bar hopes for 700 MHz allocation in H1 2015

German Secretary of State for Transport and Infrastructure Dorothee Bar told the annual convention of German association for broadband, Breko, on 27 November that it would be desirable to allocate frequencies in the 700 MHz in the first half of 2015 if possible.
