Third of Dutch homes connected to fibre

A third of Dutch households are now connected to FTTH (fibre to the home), according to the 2016 edition of Telecompaper's annual FTTH report. The market increased by around 200,000 connections in 2015, with Reggefiber accounting for 80 percent of the growth. This is a slowdown compared to 2014 when over 400,000 connections were added. At the end of 2015, the total number of FTTH homes passed reached 2.51 million, and FTTH services were available in 227 municipalities. More than 1 million homes subscribed to the services by March 2016. Reggefiber, owned by KPN, leads the market with 2.16
