UPC adopts Ziggo name, Ziggo rolls out Horizon TV
The Dutch cable operators Ziggo and UPC will continue under the single name Ziggo from 13 April, they announced. The two have been working for several months to integrate and align their services and networks, since completing their merger last year.

Along with the name change for UPC, Ziggo is launching the Horizon TV platform developed by UPC's parent company Liberty Global. Ziggo customers will be able to use the interactive services such as Replay TV on the Horizon Mediabox at no extra charge. From 13 April, Ziggo customers also gain access to the Horizon Go app for watching TV on mobile devices. In addition, Ziggo customers can use UPC's VoD service MyPrime, which offers around 1,000 films and series.

Horizon TV will be rolled out gradually in the coming weeks and form part of Ziggo's new  'Connect & Play' subscription plans. Connect stands for internet and telephony services, while Play covers everything to do with TV and video.
