Xiaomi sets new charging speed record with 200W 'HyperCharge'

Xiaomi announced it has set a new record for fast charging on its smartphones. In lab tests with a custom-build Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro handset, the company reached speeds of 120W with wireless charging and 200W with a cable charger. 

The company announced the 'HyperCharge' news on Twitter. With the 4,000 mAh battery on the phone, the top speeds mean the device is fully charged in eight minutes with a cable and 15 minutes with the wireless charger.

Sony has announced the upcoming launch of its latest photography-focused flagship smartphones, the Xperia 1 III and 5 III. Both devices will be the first commercially available smartphones to feature variable telephoto cameras that can switch between 70mm and 105mm, equivalent to a 3x and 5x optical zoom, said Sony. They also come with continuous AF plus "real-time eye AF" and object tracking in all lenses.
