German alternative network operators group Breko said a number of its members are to apply shortly for an interim injunction to stop Federal Network Agency BNetzA’s vectoring decision from being carried out before the Administrative Court in Cologne rules on the legal challenge that they recently filed.
Breko said the BnetzA decision on vectoring II allows Deutsche Telekom a virtual monopoly to extend cable distribution cabinets within approximately 550 metres of main distributors. BNetzA said that in areas where vectoring is rolled out and unbundled access is no longer possible, Telekom will be required to offer a similar substitute for access to the last mile, VULA services. Breko said this is not comparable to subscriber line connections.
