Optus launches TD-LTE network
Australian telecommunications provider Optus has launched a second 4G network, called 4G Plus, in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. The new network uses 2300 MHz spectrum and TD-LTE technology, The Australian writes. Optus first trialled the technology in Canberra. The company plans to reach 70 percent of urban Australians with 4G by mid-2014.
