
WarnerMedia has confirmed it is restructuring the company, reorganising teams around entertainment networks, live programming, content production and affiliate and advertising sales. The company has also confirmed a number of key executive appointments. NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt will become the chairman of WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer. Greenblatt’s responsibilities will include HBO, the linear cable networks TNT, TBS and truTV, and the Direct-to-Consumer business. He replaces Richard Piepler, who announced his resignation earlier this week.
Jeff Zucker will become chairman of News & Sports and president of CNN. Under Zucker , WarnerMedia News & Sports will include CNN Worldwide (CNN, CNN.com, CNN International, CNN en Español, HLN, Great Big Story), Turner Sports, Bleacher Report and the AT&T Regional Sports Networks.
Kevin Tsujihara will continue as chairman and CEO of Warner Bros, with more responsabilities, namely a new global kids and young adults business.
Gerhard Zeiler, previously president of Turner International, will become WarnerMedia’s chief revenue officer. Under Zeiler, the company will consolidate all WarnerMedia Affiliates and Advertising Sales Groups under one unified structure that he will lead.
