EU ministers half way to telecom agreement - Oettinger

EU ministers are about half way to completing work on the telecom single market legislation, according to Gunther Oettinger, the Digital Agenda commission. At a press conference after a meeting of EU telecom ministers, Oettinger said there was an intensive discussion of the proposal. While none of the member states rejected the proposal on the table out of hand, many called for further discussion of a variety of details in the plan, according to the commissioner. The network and information security directive saw more progress at the ministers' meeting, with about 80 percent of the work
