
Watchdog revokes USD 1 bln fine against Telcel

Mexican mobile operator Telcel has been notified of a resolution issued by the Mexican antitrust agency Cofeco that revokes the fine of MXN 11.9 billion (approximately USD 1 billion) against the operator, parent company America Movil reported. Back in April 2011, the Mexican Federal Antitrust Commission (Comision Federal de Competencia) fined Telcel for alleged monopolistic practices in the mobile termination market.
